Bringing the tradition of Irish dance to the stage.

Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 8:00 pm
Main Stage $46

Dublin Irish Dance brings the epic tale of Celtic culture to the stage. The journey begins in rural Ireland, prior to the Famine, where creative artists met in kitchens, barns and fields celebrating traditional melodies and dance. As the Great Hunger closes in, the people look west, across the ocean, to New York City.

Watch the video.
Mingling with immigrants from around the globe, Irish dancers feel the influences of other  cultures. Some of the Irish will head for the Appalachian Mountains where ancient Irish melodies will fuse with African rhythms, creating American tap dance and early roots music. The journey eventually leads to the present moment, where the evolution of Irish traditional dance and music is cherished, and the new pioneers who define the new standard of traditional Irish music and dance are welcomed.

Enjoy this special evening celebrating the music and dance of Ireland.
